Three Directions of Practice
Buddhist practice is not only knowledge. Cultivate renunciation, compassion and bodhicitta, and the correct view of emptiness—reducing afflictions while increasing wisdom and the wish to benefit others.
Renunciation
See the limits of cyclic habits and sincerely seek freedom from afflictions.
Compassion and Bodhicitta
Turn the wish for beings to be free from suffering into steady altruistic action.
Correct View of Emptiness
Observe self and phenomena through dependent arising, loosening grasping at fixed existence.
